Officers
The Alliance Police Department currently employs 41 full-time police officers. We also employ 5 part time officers and 5 auxiliary (volunteer) officers.
Currently our civil service entry-level patrolman's test is valid until February 11th, 2010. After that date the Alliance Civil Service Commission will likely schedule another examination.
The City of Alliance does not allow lateral entry into the police department at this time.

The hiring process consists of the following stages.
- Civil Service Examination - written only (bonus given for military, college, part-time, basic academy)
- Background check
- Interview
- Physical examination
- Psychological examination
- Voice-Stress examination
- Final Interview
