Part-Time Officers

The Alliance Police Department employs several part-time police officers and auxiliary officers.  These sworn officers have all the same powers that the full-time officers have.  Their primary duties include prisoner processing and transport to and from the county jail for court appearances.  They also assist with security at the department.  When possible they patrol just like the other full-time patrol officers and assist the officers on calls.  Part-time officers work approximately 30 hours per week.

Auxiliary officers are also sworn officers.  The only difference with them is that they work on an unpaid basis.  They are required to work 8 hrs per month with the department.
